• Organizations must be tax exempt under sections 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

• The minimum  donation is $250. Organizations should meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Based locally in the Houston Metropolitan area.

  • Based in the state of Texas and serving children in the Houston Metropolitan area.

  • Serving children in the local Houston area, even though based outside of Houston or outside of Texas.

• Organizations should be highly efficient in operations (for example, utilizing a high number of volunteers while maintaining low administrative expenses) and be able to demonstrate effectiveness in utilizing money to directly impact the children it serves.

• Organizations should primarily serve the health, education and well-being of children in the Houston area and be able to demonstrate a tangible connection between its mission and services provided.

 

ACT will consider event sponsorships (tables at charity events, etc.) of less than $5,000 on a case-by-case basis.
